Guest Service - Restaurant 200819 - 238 W. Woodrow Wilson, Jackson, MS 39213 (Finance)

Reports To (Title): Restaurant General Manager

Department: Field Operations

Job Summary: To serve each guest courteously, quickly, and efficiently while adhering to the procedures in the Service Section of the Church's Operating Standards Manual (the "OSM"). Accomplishes tasks in a timely and orderly manner.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Greet all customers with a sincere smile, making them feel welcome through a positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
  2. Take and fulfill customer orders within the company's mandated service time.
  3. Suggestive upsell of products as directed by management.
  4. Collect payment and deliver orders to customers.
  5. Address customer service problems or complaints immediately; notify the manager as needed.
  6. Verify opening reading and bank; be accountable for all cash issued and received during their shift, including all guest checks used. Count down the drawer at shift end to ensure accuracy.
  7. Notify the Manager in Charge immediately of any deletions, over-rings, or equipment issues.
  8. Ensure all product holding times are strictly observed.
  9. Maintain proper rotation and attractive display of products in the display case and on the counter.
  10. Keep the display case interior and exterior clean at all times.
  11. Stock the service area with sufficient supplies such as napkins, cups, lids, and maintain an adequate supply of iced tea.
  12. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of relevant experience.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:
  • Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional interaction abilities.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle money and accurately give change.
  • Practice security measures in cash handling, including frequent cash drops and maintaining minimal cash in the drawer.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Punctuality in reporting for scheduled shifts.
