Primary Responsibilities
- Greet guests and perform check-in/out procedures
- Follow all cash and credit procedures required by hotel and brand standards
- Check house count for available rooms
- Review credit limit exception reports and obtain additional approval if needed
- Manage expected departures, checkouts, and extensions
- Update housekeeping room status
- Balance departments from daily activity reports
- Perform cashier shift change when cash is balanced
- Explain hotel promotional items to guests and provide upon request
- Promote hotel amenities to guests during interactions
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints, offering alternatives when necessary
- Document guest accidents with an accident report
- Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- At least one year of hospitality experience required
- Customer service experience required
- Experience with cash and credit procedures
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, procedures, and organization
- Knowledge of local area, businesses, major roads, community events, and attractions
