Job summary

Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, AL is seeking a full-time Guest Service Attendant to enhance member and guest experiences and support golf club operations. This role, under Troon management, involves daily clubhouse upkeep, event support, and courteous guest service.

Responsibilities include assisting with tournaments, cart handling, and maintenance, plus helping with food and beverage activities and customer inquiries. Regular attendance and a courteous demeanor are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 6 months to 1 year customer service experience or training.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
• Maintains the cart staging area, podium and bag drop area in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in good condition.
• Prepares golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards.
• Educates players on course policy, cart policy, speed of play, etc.
• Assists players by changing their golf spikes if needed.
• Performs range maintenance and ensures practice facility is stocked with balls and equipment.
• Directs start of play when necessary.
• Maintains records of golfers renting clubs.
• Serves customers renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs after use.
• Assists with food and beverage activities.
• Cleans golfers' clubs after play.
• Adheres to safe work practices and performs other duties as required.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities of the Guest Service Attendant:

• Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot.
• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
• Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
• Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of Troon Golf.
• Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
• Assists players by changing their golf spikes, if needed.
• Performs range maintenance such as: presenting practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies and/or ball pyramids, and maintains ball inventory over the course of the day.
• Directs start of play when necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
• Services the customer who is renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return.
• Assists with food and beverage activities.
• Cleans golfers' clubs upon completion of play.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications of the Guest Service Attendant:

• HighSchool Diploma or GED; andsix months to a year customer serviceexperience or training.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
