Overview

Part-time guest service attendant position at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Arizona. The role supports a positive experience for members and guests while building knowledge of golf club operations.

Experience Required

• High school diploma required at a minimum.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively.
• Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
• Must be able to operate a golf car in a safe manner.
• Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.

Essential Responsibilities

• Continually monitor, implement and adhere to all company goals and procedures.
• Welcome and greet guests and players, assist at bag drop, stage clubs on golf cars, welcome guests after rounds, clean clubs and store clubs when requested.
• As starter, greet each group, explain rules and course etiquette, facilitate pace of play, answer questions, and keep records of starting times and golf car numbers.
• As range starter, help ensure groups are filled when possible, manage golf car availability, facilitate timely starts, stock and organize range stations, and maintain practice green presentation.
• Pick up and clean practice balls in a timely manner and maintain proper inventory.
• As player assistant, maintain proper pace of play.
• Maintain the golf car fleet, storage area and practice facility.
• Assist group services with setup and organization of golf cars for shotgun, split tee, or regular tee time starts.
• Maintain proper equipment and inventory levels including rental clubs, radios, pencils, tees, scorecards and ball mark repair tools.
• Perform other duties deemed reasonable by the supervisor and/or head golf professional.
• Provide enthusiastic service for guest questions and requests.
• Assist fellow guest service staff in maintaining a clean and professional practice facility.
• Greet each player in a friendly manner and provide service in every way possible.
