Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Guest Service Associate in Newport News, VA to elevate guest experiences and support store tasks. You will greet guests, operate POS, handle cash and inventory, and assist with housekeeping and stocking.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. The position requires flexibility in work hours, basic computer skills, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store policies and procedures.
• Operate the point of sale per corporate standards and manage cash/lottery/tobacco levels.
• Complete store housekeeping and merchandising tasks.
• Replenish products and maintain in-stock conditions.
• Communicate guest requests and vendor concerns to management.
• Check in external and internal vendors per guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may only use OSHA approved knives.

Our Guest Service Associate will be responsible for driving top notch guest experience while facilitating the completion of all store-level tasks.

Your Role, Your Impact

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures, and practices.
• Operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards; maintain proper cash, lottery, tobacco levels.
• Complete all store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.).
• Replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions at all times.
• Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines.
• Conducts gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.

• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, i.e., outside, cooler, etc.,
• Ability to climb ladders & stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Perform duties of the job in a timely manner.
• You have the ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
• Support GSA new hire employee's onboarding and training.

Pay Range

$13.66 - $16.87

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
