A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience while supporting the hotel's financial goals.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing the registration process, inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms or assisting with baggage.
  • Assisting guests with check-out procedures, ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, converting foreign currency, making change, and managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Having thorough knowledge of hotel offerings, including room types, rates, packages, promotions, and local area information, to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing messages for guests.
