Guest Service Agent - The Connally Hotel Downtown Atlanta

Administration

  1. Register and assign rooms to guests.
  2. Issue room key and escort instructions to Guest Service Agent or directly to the guest.
  3. Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
  4. Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
  5. Answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  6. Keep a record of room availability and rates.
  7. Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests.
  8. Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
  9. Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bills if the interface is inoperable.
  10. Make reservation, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests.
  11. Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box.
  12. Ability to accurately use various office software.
  13. Have a full working knowledge and expertise of each shift including night audit.

  1. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  2. Ability to accurately report information.
  3. Ability to assist with various office tasks as needed.
  4. Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  5. Attend required meetings.

  1. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  2. Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
  3. High school education required. Relevant training, experience, and additional education preferred.
  4. CPR and first aid training preferred.
