Job description

The Tempo New York Times Square is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team.

This stunning property features 661 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the city and lights of Times Square. The sky lobby, located on the 11th floor, includes communal working spaces as well as a fitness centre and hydration station.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working as a Guest Service Agent, OnQ experience, full availability including nights, weekends, and holidays, and experience working at a similar size property.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is needed for this role

Pay Range: $31.97 - $42.62 / hour

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring a high standard of service.

Specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Greeting guests, completing the registration process, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, handling payments, and processing credit/debit cards and foreign currency.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing messages for guests.
