Job Overview

As a Guest Services Agent, you are responsible for participating in all aspects of the Front Desk operations and providing excellent customer service. You must maintain high standards in all aspects of internal and external service and embrace the Yarrow Group service culture. You will work with the Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Experience teams. You must ensure you maximize the guest experience by achieving all service standards, maintaining consistent quality of service, exceeding expectations, and efficiently completing departmental objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Follow safety and emergency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Prioritize and accurately complete functions like reservations, check-ins, check-outs, billing, and guest requests.
  • Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome, listen to requests, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information.
  • Complete registration, input and retrieve information from systems, assign rooms, and promote hotel programs.
  • Ensure all brand and service standards are met, resolve guest complaints, and promote the hotel positively.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries, manage guest accounts, and operate property management systems.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, follow dress code, and keep workstations tidy.
  • Provide local area recommendations and align with the company's culture and policies.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks and assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year front desk or customer service experience, preferably with OPERA and Yarrow Group systems.
  • Strong customer service background and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and understanding of hotel operations.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Complex math skills and patience in dealing with guests.
