Position Overview

A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience while supporting the hotel's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests, complete the registration process, input and retrieve information from the computer, confirm guest details and room rates, assign rooms, code electronic keys, promote marketing programs, provide welcome packets, and assist with room location or bell service as needed.
  2. Assist guests with check-out, ensure accurate billing, process payments via the point-of-sale system, handle cash and credit/debit transactions, convert foreign currencies, and process gift certificates and cards.
  3. Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room types, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details, to effectively answer guest inquiries.
  4. Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  5. Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests, and resolve issues efficiently.
  6. Handle guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  7. Receive, relay, and manage guest messages accurately.
