Job description

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is searching for a Part-Time Guest Service Agent to join the team.

The coastal retreat, situated along the beautiful Torrey Pines Golf Course overlooking La Jolla's sunny shores, features nearly 40,000 sq ft of event space, 2 dining options, and 394 guest rooms.

Classification: Part-Time

Shifts: Full Availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Hourly Rate: $19

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, with a flexible schedule, proficiency in computer systems, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and registering guests, including inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting with check-out procedures, managing payments, processing credit/debit cards, handling foreign currency, and recording transactions.
  • Having thorough knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, packages, and local area to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding promptly to guest requests and resolving issues amicably.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing messages for guests.
