Join us for the Guest Service Agent (Part-time) role at Hyatt House White Plains

We are seeking a friendly and courteous Guest Service Agent to greet, register, and serve guests according to hotel, brand, and sustainability standards.

Opportunities and Growth

Potential career progression includes roles such as Front Desk Supervisor, Sales Coordinator, Front Office Manager, or Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Immediately greet guests and assist with their needs.
  2. Register guests and assign rooms.
  3. Establish payment methods and verify credit.
  4. Make and confirm reservations.
  5. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
  6. Transmit and receive messages via telephone or PMS system.
  7. Respond promptly to guest requests.
  8. Resolve guest complaints and escalate when necessary.
  9. Secure guest valuables in hotel safes.
  10. Perform bookkeeping activities like balancing accounts and audits.
  11. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to improve them.
  12. Follow sustainability practices aligned with HHM's EarthView program.
  13. Practice safe work habits and adhere to OSHA standards.
  14. Assist in breakfast service or with luggage during peak times or staffing shortages.
  15. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Customer service experience or equivalent training required.
  • Knowledge of PMS systems is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Flexible work schedule, including holidays, weekends, and shifts.
  • Requires standing, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
