A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring outstanding guest service and profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, and processing credit/debit cards and foreign currency.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for satisfaction.
  • Receiving and relaying messages to guests.
