Job summary

Springfield Residence Inn by Marriott Old Keene Mill in Springfield, VA is seeking a Guest Service Agent to warmly welcome guests, check them in/out, answer calls, and maintain accurate records. The role emphasizes professional service, confidentiality, and teamwork.

You will support breakfast service, assist with lobby upkeep, and help with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential guest information with integrity.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Check guests in and out and assign rooms.
• Answer phones, route calls, and take guest messages accurately.
• Respond to guest questions, requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Handle guest information and records with confidentiality and integrity.
• Maintain accurate cash and transaction records.
• Complete front desk paperwork, logs and reports.
• Perform property walks and keep lobby and public areas clean and welcoming.
• Assist with breakfast service and keep area clean and stocked.
• Provide wake-up calls and assist guests with special requests.
• Communicate important information to the team via pass-on log.
• Support hotel sales and marketing efforts as directed by GM.
• Assist with laundry and other hotel operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do
