Job summary

Orange County Property is seeking a Security Host to maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors, and the property in Orlando, FL. You will greet constituents, monitor surveillance, control access points, and respond to emergencies as needed.

This full-time position requires two years of related security experience and an AA degree in criminal justice or related field. Proficiency in PDF creation, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is valued.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training required.
• AA degree (AA) in criminal justice, emergency management, or homeland security from a two-year college or technical school.
• Substitution: each year of education may be substituted by two years of work experience; each year of work experience may be substituted by two years of additional education.
• Must have computer skills: Internet, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Acrobat proficiency for PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Greet constituents and provide directions or assistance.
• Observe and assess behavior to identify security concerns.
• Appointment system assistance.
• Process correspondence and documents received at the office.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular security patrols.
• Complete incident/disturbance reports.
• Assist in investigations with OCPA management.
• Report security concerns to management or authorities.
