Job summary

Microtel Inn & Suites Georgetown, DE is seeking a diligent Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of comfort. You will make beds, clean bathrooms, replace linens, restock supplies, and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly manner.

Prior hotel cleaning experience is preferred; must be able to lift 25 pounds and work independently. This position reports to the Head Housekeeper and joins the hotel leadership team to uphold service

Qualifications

• Time management skills required.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Cleaning experience strongly preferred.
• Must read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including beds, bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming.
• Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom areas.
• Change and replenish bed linens and towels.
• Perform deep cleaning of guest rooms and public areas as assigned.
• Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping cart daily.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly manner.
