Job summary

• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English and Spanish.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Possess initiative and high energy level.
• Knowledge of chemical use, OSHA regulations, and Biohazard clean-up procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms within prescribed time including toilets, floors, mirrors and glass, bathtubs and showers, sinks, furniture and countertops.
• Vacuum carpeting, remove soiled linen and trash, and replenish room supplies.
• Respond promptly to guest requests such as extra towels and items.
• Check lamps and fixtures for burned-out bulbs; report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Check plumbing fixtures to ensure leak-free operation.
• Sign out and secure room keys and passkeys; handle keys properly.
• Arrange guest room furnishings and supplies according to specifications.
• Attend department meetings as required.
