Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Galveston is seeking a Housekeeper/Room Attendant to maintain clean guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards. Duties include cleaning rooms, reporting maintenance issues, handling guest requests, and ensuring confidentiality and security of rooms.

The role requires at least 6 months of related experience and knowledge of chemical handling. The physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity, preferably brand specific experience.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms as assigned to hotel standards.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and guest requests or complaints.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Transport cart with cleaning supplies and linens to assigned rooms.
• Empty trash and replace linens and amenities.
• Inspect rooms for damages and cleanliness before checkout.
