Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality is seeking a housekeeping team member to clean and maintain guest rooms in accordance with company standards. The role involves stocking supplies, following knock procedures, and ensuring safety and security in all duties.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms, reporting hazards, keeping hallways tidy, and assisting other housekeeping staff as needed. This position requires physical stamina and a neat appearance as outlined in the team member handbook.

Qualifications

• Bend and reach to dust, clean, and make beds and bathroom.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
• Communication with guest and fellow co-workers throughout the day.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings left behind.
• Use written communication to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Move fingers, arms and hands quickly to perform cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities are available to properly clean each room.
• Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room.
• Cleans the guest rooms assigned and ensures amenities are stocked; completes the housekeeping checklist.
• Accurately marks clean rooms to supervisor for inspection.
• Reports damages or hazards present in guest rooms.
• Secures guest room doors upon exiting the room.
• Keeps corridors and service areas neat at all times.
• Turns in lost and found items and guest room keys.
• Follows all company policies and safety procedures.
• Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilizes protective equipment.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss.
• Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per handbook.
• Performs related duties as requested by management.
• Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed.
