Job summary

Sheraton Los Angeles Gateway is seeking a detail‑oriented Housekeeper to clean guest rooms and maintain public areas to standard. You will make beds, restock supplies, and ensure showers and bathrooms are spotless, contributing to a positive guest experience.

The role requires physical stamina, reliable teamwork, and flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to uphold safety, hygiene, and efficiency across all hotel areas.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some housekeeping experience and the ability to speak English are preferred.
• Ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards.
• Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests, and ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste.
• Record and report lost and found items according to procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
• May have turndown duties.
• Participate in recycling programs and procedures.
