Job summary

Peabody Hotel Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain high cleanliness standards and deliver excellent guest service. You will clean rooms, restock amenities, and assist guests with inquiries to ensure a flawless stay.

Responsibilities include following hotel policies, safely using cleaning equipment, and reporting damages or maintenance needs to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Use equipment correctly and only as intended.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests, regardless of busyness.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be familiar with hotel services/features and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Use correct cleaning chemicals for surfaces per OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Clean guest rooms by category priority.
• Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to rooms, and position securely.
• Service assigned guest rooms.
• Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
• Replace linens and make beds with clean linen.
• Inspect furniture for damage and report to supervisor.
• Inspect fire safety items, rate cards and DND sign; replace as needed.
• Update status of rooms cleaned on the assignment sheet.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Report any damage or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.
• Turn over lost and found items from rooms to the Supervisor.
