Job summary

Valley Hospitality Services is seeking a housekeeping associate in Columbus, GA. You will clean guest rooms and public areas to brand standards, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include restocking amenities, reporting deficiencies, and maintaining storage areas, while upholding a neat appearance in uniform. Occupants may work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail oriented and written/verbal communication required.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up cleaning cart with supplies for the day.
• Maintain storeroom in an orderly fashion for efficiency.
• Clean rooms in their entirety including windows, doors, walls, mirrors, floors, sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, fixtures, and hallways.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, wall hangings, vents, and ceiling corners.
• Sweep or hose patio balcony floor and wipe down furniture where applicable.
• Strip bed linens and remake with fresh ones; check bedspreads and blankets for cleanliness.
• Inspect between mattresses and under beds for soiled areas.
• Check closet cleanliness; restock hangers, extra blankets, and pillows as needed.
• Vacuum all rooms and public areas; ensure doors, windows, TVs, lights, and fixtures work properly.
• Replace room amenities and report room status or deficiencies to management in writing.
• Secure custody of equipment, keys, and supplies to protect hotel property.
• Assist laundry with sorting and returning soiled linens to storage or carts.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear company uniform.
• Attend required meetings/trainings.
• May work nights, weekends, and holidays.
