Job summary

A leading hospitality company seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for their Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, Florida. The role involves cleaning guest rooms, addressing maintenance deficiencies, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year in cleaning, preferably in a hotel environment, and strong communication skills. Bilingual proficiency and local knowledge are advantageous. Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co‑workers.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observe all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms by category priority according to franchise and hotel standards.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Complete additional deep cleaning/seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.
