Job summary

The role requires vigilance for guest safety and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness. The position emphasizes physical stamina, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and the capacity to push/pull heavy carts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Able to push/pull/maneuver a supply cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Knowledge of proper chemical use for cleaning guestrooms beneficial.
• Must obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned number of guest rooms according to standards.
• Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
• Stock supply cart with cleaning supplies and replenish as needed.
• Update room status and complete departmental paperwork.
• Notify housekeeping office of repairs or maintenance needs in guest rooms.
• Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.

Job Description

Responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company anddepartmental standards.

• Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
• Clean assigned number of guest rooms according to company and
• departmental standards including but not limited to:
• o Collecting used bath linens and replenishing with fresh linens
• o Dusting hard surfaces
• o Vacuuming carpeted areas
• o Cleaning bathroom sink, counters, tub and/or shower, toilet, etc.
• o Replenish room amenities such as tissues, soaps, etc.
• Stock supply cart with supplies necessary for cleaning guest rooms.
• Update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork.
• Notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms.
• Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift.
• Must be able to push/pull/maneuver supply cart weighing approximately200 pounds.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to kneeling,reaching, stooping, bending, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Knowledgeable in the proper use of chemicals used in cleaning guestrooms beneficial.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/orlicenses.
