Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking a friendly Guest Room Attendant for the Residence Inn by Marriott to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. You will perform routine cleaning, restocking amenities, and respond to guest requests with professionalism.

This role reports to the Executive Housekeeper and requires the ability to work quickly, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. A high school diploma and prior hotel housekeeping experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hotel cleaning experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to take initiative with limited supervision.
• Sense of ownership in duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including beds, bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming.
• Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed.
• Report maintenance or room issues to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Stock and transport housekeeping supply cart daily.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Respond to special guest requests promptly and with courtesy.
• Perform turndown service as requested.
• Other duties as reasonably assigned.

The Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for the overall room cleanliness as well as replenishment of guest amenities to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Residence Inn by Marriott standards, under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging and Development

What you have

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous hotel experiencein a cleaning position.

• Strong customer service skills

• Proven experience in working quickly and efficiently

• Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision

• A sense of ownership in everything that you do

What you’ll do

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming.

• Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed.

• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed.

• Report any maintenance or room issues to the Executive Housekeeper

• Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis

• Dispose of trash and recyclables

• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

• Perform turndown service as requested by guest

• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
