Job summary

TownePlace Suites- Coeur D'Alene, Idaho is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to create clean, comfortable spaces and deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will own daily housekeeping tasks, prioritize rooms by need, and support new team members while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–3 years of housekeeping or related hospitality experience.
  • Experience in a hotel environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in cleaning techniques, procedures, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests and associates.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Guest Room Attendant | Create a Stay Guests Remember

Do you take pride in creating clean, comfortable spaces and delivering an exceptional guest experience? Western States Lodging & Management is looking for an experienced and dependable Guest Room Attendant who brings attention to detail, efficiency, and genuine hospitality to every room.

In this role, you’ll take greater ownership of daily housekeeping responsibilities, prioritize rooms based on hotel operations and guest needs, and help maintain the high standards our guests expect. You’ll also serve as a knowledgeable resource for newer team members while continuing to provide outstanding service.

What You’ll Do
  • Clean and service guest rooms efficiently while consistently meeting hotel brand standards
  • Make beds, replace linens and towels, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and thoroughly clean bathrooms
  • Replenish toiletries, towels, coffee supplies, and other guest amenities
  • Prioritize daily cleaning assignments based on guest check-in and check-out times and operational needs
  • Identify and respond professionally to special guest requests and preferences, including requests for additional towels, pillows, linens, or amenities
  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to established quality standards
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or other issues requiring attention
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked housekeeping supplies and work areas
  • Clean and maintain guest-accessible areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, fitness areas, and other common spaces as assigned
  • Follow established safety, sanitation, security, and chemical-handling procedures
  • Demonstrate Western States Lodging & Management hospitality and service standards in every guest interaction
What Makes You Successful
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–3 years of housekeeping, guest room attendant, or related hospitality experience
  • Experience working within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
  • Proficiency in professional cleaning techniques, procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and positively with guests and fellow associates
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to safely work with cleaning products and chemicals
  • Availability to work some weekends and holidays as business needs require
  • Authorization to work in the United States and proof of identity as required by federal law
Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent walking and standing throughout the shift, along with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive cleaning movements. Guest Room Attendants must also be able to use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques to occasionally lift, move, or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
