Job summary

Embassy Suites Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to help keep our hotel clean, fresh, and welcoming for guests. You will operate washing and drying machinery, inspect items for cleanliness, fold laundry to standard sizes, and maintain accurate records of laundered items.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Full-time associates receive medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan, plus hotel-wide benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to operate laundry equipment and lift/carry supplies.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Dedication to guest service and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, drying, and dry-cleaning machines.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of items and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures based on fabrics.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens and filters.
• Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, by hand or folding machines.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
