Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. is seeking a Sales Teammate in Ames, IA to deliver the mission of creating the most enjoyable shopping experience for Guests.

You will perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, displays, and store cleanliness as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include greeting Guests, answering questions, recommending merchandise, and maintaining knowledge of promotions and policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service to each Guest
• Answer questions regarding store and merchandise
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
• Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education to the Team
• Stay current on sales, promotions, policies, and security practices
• Maintain personal sales metrics and support Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) usage
• Meet or exceed personal sales-per-hour and net sales goals set by Store Management
• Provide legendary service across Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area
• Assist Guests with trying on or fitting merchandise
• Process checkouts and bag purchases
• Prepare merchandise for alterations
• Know exchange and return procedures and educate Guests accordingly
• Complete SPG daily to achieve goals
• Meet/exceed Buckle business builder and guest loyalty standards
• Place Special Orders or call other stores to locate merchandise
• Build guest relationships to develop a client-based business
• Learn Buckle’s customer service expectations and policies
• Perform leadership actions consistently, even when the Manager isn’t present
• Follow mission statement to deliver high-quality customer service and teamwork
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned
