Job summary

Flanigan’s in the United States is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, serve dishes and beverages, and ensure timely delivery of meals. You will greet guests, answer questions, and help promote the menu while maintaining a warm, efficient dining floor.

Responsibilities include accurately taking orders, operating the POS, handling payments, and keeping tables clean. The role offers a Five Day Work Week with health coverage options and shift meals at a discount.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write English.
• Able to deliver plates and clear tables.
• Must be able to stand/walk for full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Floridas statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Floridas statutes

Responsibilities

• Support teammates in maintaining table appearance and running food/drink as needed.
• Know the Food & Beverage menus and current promotions; answer guest questions clearly.
• Accurately write down guest orders and enter into POS.
• Retrieve orders from kitchen or bar and deliver to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and know when to summon a Manager.
• Collect payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensure correct transactions using POS, and deliver change promptly.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
