Job summary

Applebee's in Savoy, Illinois is seeking a friendly front-of-house team member to deliver food and drinks, greet guests, and uphold the restaurant's Ten Basic Service Steps. You will deliver orders with the POS system, suggest items, interact with guests, relay orders to kitchen and bar, and help clear and reset tables to keep the dining room inviting.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with courteous, timely hospitality
• Ability to greet guests and answer questions
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Flexible availability for varied shifts

Responsibilities

• Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee’s team delivery system (65%*).
• Greet guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service (20%*).
• Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere (15%*).
• Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system (10%*).
• Observes guests and responds to any additional requests (10%*).
• Presents guest check to each table and accepts a form of payment. Makes correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure (10%*).
• Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables (10%*).
