Responsibilities

• Greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up as needed.
• Understand menu items and ingredients; advise on pairings; accommodate reasonable requests; note dietary needs and allergens.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure correct orders and accommodate special requests.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork; stay flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, neat dining environment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information shared; address complaints promptly with supervisor.
• Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep area clean during sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments during events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
