Job summary

express mart is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Team Member to join our Union, MO location. You will greet customers, operate cash registers, restock shelves, and keep the store clean while upholding safety and food service guidelines.

This role offers day, evening, and overnight shifts with a competitive hourly wage and flexible scheduling. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, and opportunities for advancement are available within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills and cash-handling proficiency.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures is a plus.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the gas station and assist as needed.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized store environment, including restocking shelves, display maintenance, store housekeeping, and floor moves.
• Maintain a clean store by cleaning countertops, fuel pumps, bathrooms, and disposing of trash.
• Uphold all food service guidelines when serving food.
• Ongoing promotion awareness and product knowledge.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and customer service standards.
• Practice safety with attention to spills, proper lifting techniques, and reporting incidents to management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
