Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep the resort’s public spaces spotless and welcoming. The role focuses on courteous guest interactions while maintaining cleanliness across lobbies, corridors, and washrooms. The position requires punctuality, proper grooming, and adherence to hotel standards.

You will assist guests and staff, participate in meetings, and uphold safety and hygiene regulations to ensure exceptional guest experiences at the property.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel public areas experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Attend all hotel required meetings and training.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Maintains supply levels in the public areas, toilet paper, and Kleenex.
• Maintains and cleans all public washrooms, checking twice each hour.
• M akes routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness. Empties ash urns.
• Dust all tables, lamps, and ledges in all public areas and corridors.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all windows, glass, and doors in public areas.
• Checks guest elevators, clean carpets, and polishes metals as necessary. Maintains elevator tracks.
• Performs cleaning tasks in public areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and collecting garbage.
• Assists guests and other staff members as needed.
