Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Topeka is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help present the hotel's physical attributes and ensure a safe, efficient work environment for all team members. You will assist in servicing, maintenance, and equipping the property to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Responsibilities include supporting the Maintenance Director, understanding plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, performing routine maintenance, and completing work orders with organization and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and thorough.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some maintenance experience or vocational training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to departmental and property goals for guest satisfaction by performing maintenance correctly the first time and ensuring quality service.
• Approaches all guest and staff interactions with attentiveness, friendliness and courtesy.
• Carry out the duties of the Maintenance Director when required.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks such as painting, caulking, minor plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
