Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) is seeking a food service employee to prepare and serve food items, maintain a clean work area, and handle cash transactions at the point of sale. The role involves lifting up to 40 pounds and working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants should meet basic sanitation standards, follow verbal and written instructions, and be able to work with minimal supervision while ensuring accurate cash handling and record keeping.

Qualifications

• Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
• Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order.
• Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.
• Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items which include, but are not limited to, hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, lemonade drinks, etc.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Collect sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary.
• Maintain related cash records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
