Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets and assists customers visibly and actively
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions and safety regulations
