Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cashier II to provide excellent customer service and process transactions at the POS. The role involves maintaining a clean, well‑stocked food and beverage area and assisting with stocking and receiving products.

You will train junior cashiers, handle busy periods with a positive attitude, and follow safety guidelines, while adapting to schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays. Growth opportunities exist within the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions on a POS register and keep the area clean and stocked.
• Assist with receiving product and unloading; stock merchandise on planograms.
• Assist training lower‑level cashiers on duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work based on store and management needs.
• Maintain safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and co‑workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
