Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver excellent guest service at the register. You will handle transactions, keep a clean food and beverage area, and ensure shelves are stocked while following safety guidelines.

The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a hands-on position in a busy travel center environment with opportunities to interact with travelers daily.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and ability to serve guests courteously.
• Basic familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and transactions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process transactions of customers on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area; clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize your work according to the store and management needs.
• Know and follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
