Job summary

Denny's, Inc. is seeking servers to warmly welcome guests, take accurate orders, and deliver meals in a timely manner. You will upsell specials and help guests select menu items while maintaining a clean dining area.

Ideal candidates have solid customer service experience, strong communication, multitasking ability, and basic math skills. Flexible availability — nights, weekends, and holidays — is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in server, waiter, or customer service roles preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence in upselling, menu recommendations, and guest engagement.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Flexible availability — nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
• Take orders accurately and relay them clearly to the kitchen.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and correctly.
• Use upselling to recommend specials, combos, and popular menu items.
• Ask guiding questions to help guests make selections and explain menu choices.
• Invite guests to join the Denny’s Rewards Program and explain benefits.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining room.
• Process payments efficiently (cash, card, digital).
• Work with FOH and BOH to ensure smooth service.
