Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise team member in Ohio to provide a welcoming guest experience and help guests find what they need. You will participate in stocking, pricing, signing, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom while delivering friendly service.

You should be comfortable with fast-paced work, flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays), and collaboration with peers to meet daily goals and guest expectations. Training and safety guidelines are provided by Target.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft, 4ft, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need or resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Execute daily tasks such as receiving, restocking, organizing the backroom, pricing, and signage for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified and follow safety procedures.
• Learn and follow inventory management and stock level procedures.
• Support guest services like back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
