Job summary

Haggen, Inc. is seeking a service deli team member in Auburn, WA to provide engaging guest care and support daily kitchen operations. You will help train staff, plan weekly schedules, and assist in merchandising to boost sales.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy with recipes and margins, and the ability to work in a wet, fast-paced environment. Must be 18+ and may require a Food Handler’s Permit. Weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Passion for serving people and creating a guest focused work environment.
• Math skills for recipes, margins, markup, reports, labor & sales budgeting.
• Excellent communication in a professional and courteous manner.
• Must be at least 18 years old; Food Handler’s Permit may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly guest care at all times.
• Hires, trains, evaluates and communicates with associates in the department.
• Coaches and cross-trains associates for future opportunities.
• Writes daily plans and weekly work schedules.
• Demonstrates sales techniques and merchandise within the department.
• Participates in food service production and maintains product knowledge.
• Maintains display freshness and accurate records for damaged merchandise.
• Stays updated on promos and company specials; supports a team environment.
• Manages loss prevention and works to ensure a safe shopping experience.
• Works seven days a week; weekend/holiday shifts may be required.
