Job summary

San Diego Zoo Safari Park is seeking a Food Service Clerk to support food preparation, sales, and guest service at our on-site locations. Under supervision, you will handle cash transactions, operate the POS system, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

You will join a team that emphasizes high-volume service, teamwork, and consistent guest experiences. Training is provided to ensure proper food handling, safety, and customer interaction standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Requires RBS Certification within 30 days.
• Requires Food Handler's Card within 30 days.
• Experience in a fast-paced food service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sells food items.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work area, follows safe food handling procedures.
• Operates point of sale system, handles cash and various sales transactions with proactive suggestive selling.
• Provides outstanding guest service, greets guests and calmly handles difficult situations with guests or staff.
• Assists with daily setup, closing, cleaning of the location, stocks items, and helps with ordering.
• Operates food service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Learns a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
