Job summary

Festival Foods in Onalaska, WI is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our guest-focused team. Shifts are afternoons and evenings between 1–11 pm; 16+ preferred.

You will engage with guests, handle transactions, bag items, and stay informed on promotions to ensure a positive shopping experience. As a Cashier, you’ll provide outstanding service, maintain register order, and communicate guest needs to leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to engage with guests and provide outstanding service.
• Retail experience to handle information and merchandise transactions and cash at registers.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to read, count and write accurately for precise transactions.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Guests: Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
• Efficient Transactions: Scan grocery items, process sales and handle monetary transactions with care.
• Bagging with Care: As needed, bag items to ensure products reach their destination in the condition they left our store.
• Stay Informed: Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
• Maintain Order: Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Communication: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Quality Standards: Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
• Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance and adequate notice to find a replacement for absences.
