Job summary

J&H Family Stores is seeking a QSR Clerk - Level I to support daily customer service at our Byron Township location. You will greet customers, take and prepare orders, and handle transactions at the cash register with accuracy.

Prepare food promptly while explaining menu items cheerfully, restock prep areas, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards. This role requires flexibility for weekends/holidays and a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school or equivalent with ability to read and perform math.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Ability to interact with customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS and cash register.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and prepare orders, use POS to record the order, collect payment and make change.
• Prepare food neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Explain menu items cheerfully and accurately to customers.
• Check prep area and restock items to maintain supply throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all quality standards, formulas or portion controls.
• Follow proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards including temperature checks.
• General housekeeping and cleaning.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming as outlined in handbook.
• Perform light paperwork duties as assigned.
