Panera Bread in Bakersfield, CA is hiring a Restaurant Team Member. As the heart of hospitality, you’ll greet guests, prepare items with care, and deliver warm service in a fast-paced bakery-cafe atmosphere.

You will work across areas such as Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, and Drive-Thru, always delivering Panera warmth to guests. This role offers competitive pay ($20.00-$23.00 per hour), flexible scheduling, free on-shift meals, and benefits for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16+ and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Clear communication in a loud environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and guest-focused attitude.
• Food Handler’s Card is required by law.
• Food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Execute duties for areas within the bakery-cafe (Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, etc.).
• Greet every guest with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
• Assemble salads, soups, and sandwiches with care and efficiency.
• Assist guests at entry, cashier, and dining areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment per food safety standards.
• Stay informed about daily priorities and adapt with a positive attitude.
