Job summary

Jack in the Box in Modesto, CA is seeking a Team Member to deliver guest-focused service across dine-in, drive-thru, and prep areas. You will greet guests, take orders, assemble meals, handle payments, and maintain cleanliness while following JIB standards.

The role emphasizes fast-paced teamwork, accuracy, food safety, and a positive, friendly attitude. Minimum age 16, English proficiency preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience – Guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful; comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Must be at least 16 years old. Understands and communicates clearly in English, may require ability to speak another language based on location of restaurant. Ability to read and understand written English, perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply); perform multiple tasks at once; and work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical Requirements – Ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of shift and move freely throughout the restaurant; ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs. Ability to listen to guests’ orders, operate a cash register, and read video monitors.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders in dine-in or drive-thru areas.
• Operate POS system, collect payments, and provide change.
• Assemble orders with correct items and bagging standards; ensure timely delivery to guests.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness across interior, exterior, and back-of-house areas.
• Support team as needed to meet guest needs and uphold JIB standards.
