Job summary

Global Partners LP in Connecticut is seeking a Guest Service Associate to drive a top-notch guest experience while supporting store-level tasks. You will greet guests, operate the POS, stock shelves, and coordinate with management on guest requests.

Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Health coverage, a 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement after six months are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, e.g., outside or in coolers.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Complete duties in a timely manner and count/read/write to complete paperwork.
• Assist with onboarding and training for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store operations policies.
• Operate the point of sale; maintain cash, lottery, tobacco levels.
• Complete store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions.
• Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor concerns.
• Check in external and internal vendors per guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.
