Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register, properly bagging merchandise and placing items in the cart.
• Maintains accuracy during the transaction, handling cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons; follows cash drawer procedures.
• Follows store policies regarding tobacco and alcohol sales and keeps knowledge of weekly ads and promotions.
• Maintains general sanitation in the department and ensures health and OSHA requirements are met.
• Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store function; supports continuous improvement.
• Utilizes PPE as required and may assist in other departments.
