Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned company with over 50 years in operation, is seeking a Server for Carlos O’Kelly’s in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will create a memorable dining experience by serving meals and drinks and attending to guests’ needs in a way that makes them want to return.

Key duties include greeting guests, making recommendations, delivering orders via our Nigel tablet POS, and assisting with clearing tables.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Mobility to move around the dining room and responsibilities.
• Ability to greet guests, answer questions and make recommendations.
• Transports items to and from dining area and kitchen as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drinks and ongoing service to guests.
• Greet guests, answer questions and make recommendations regarding food, drinks, and service.
• Interact with guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the Nigel POS tablet system.
• Observe and serve guests, respond to any needs or requests.
• Present guest checks to each table.
• Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables.
