Job summary

Ruby Tuesday is seeking a Server in Culpeper, VA to provide prompt and friendly food and beverage service following the CHARM service model. You will aim to meet or exceed sales objectives and collaborate with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.

This role requires serving guests, delivering food, handling payments, and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment. Training on policies and POS systems is provided to support your success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (some states may require 21 to serve alcohol).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Process cash handling and credit card transactions in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Operate a computer, calculator, and phone.
• Attention to details with good organizational and time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude and contribute to a teamwork-based environment.
• Learn the menu to explain offerings and make recommendations.
• Provide guests with a friendly welcome and memorable farewell to encourage repeat visits.
• Follow CHARM service model to deliver a great guest experience.
• Suggestively sell and inform guests about current features and promotions.
• Input guests' orders accurately into MICROS and ensure timely delivery.
• Deliver food to guests in and out of your section and check back for refills.
• Support teammates to meet guests' needs and maintain service standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties and run side work as assigned.
• Present accurate guest checks, accept payment, and complete transactions efficiently.
• Answer phones and assist guests with questions in a friendly manner.
• Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with policy and monitor for responsible service.
• Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impairment.
• Process payments per cash handling and credit card policies and IRS regulations.
• Report tips in accordance with company policy.
